What we collect
- Account: your email address and an encrypted password.
- Payout details: your bank, account number and the account name returned by our payment partner when we verify the account.
- Activity: your tasks, scans, rewards, withdrawals and, for advertisers, ads and deposits.
- Fraud signals: when a QR is scanned we record the IP address, browser type and timing of the scan so we can tell real visits from automated ones.
How we use it
To run your account, verify scans, pay rewards and withdrawals, protect Scanbic and advertisers from fraud, and contact you about your account. We do not sell your personal information.
Who sees what
- Payment partners process deposits and verify bank accounts.
- Advertisers see totals and anonymised visit information about their ads, such as masked names and the result of each scan. They do not see your bank details or email.
- The website an ad points to receives the visit like any normal link click, and may use its own cookies and analytics. Its own privacy policy applies there.
Keeping your data
We keep records for as long as your account is open and as the law requires for financial records. You can ask us to correct your details or close your account through Help and support.
Security
Passwords are hashed, bank details are only used for payouts, and access to personal data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your login private.
